McGruff the Crime Dog and his nephew Scruff teach kids about being safe and about being good citizens. They join the the Charles County Sheriff’s Office for such special events as National Night Out.
To invite McGruff and Scruff to your community event, please email Cpl.Gregory Cook at cookg@ccso.us. McGruff and Scruff are invited to many events so please submit your request early to ensure they will be able to accept your invitation.
There is no fee for their appearance but the CCSO asks that donations be made to the support Public Safety Cadets Unit 1658 or the Criminal Justice Program, which are both youth law enforcement programs whose members provide our McGruff and Scruff services as part of community service requirements.
