On October 13, 1995, the body of Sterling Emmanuel Settle was found on a logging road off Covington Road in Brandywine. Sterling had sustained gunshot wounds to his upper body and his death was ruled a homicide. He was last seen in Prince George’s County near his home in Oxon Hill on the afternoon of Monday, October 9, 1995.
Sterling was only 14 years old at the time of his death. He was a 9th grade student at Oxon Hill High School.
