School Resource Officer Investigating Possible Overdose: On May 16 at 12:50p.m., the School Resource Officer at Westlake High School was notified that a student, who had ingested what they thought were two candies earlier in the day, was experiencing an elevated heart rate, nausea and disorientation. The student was seen by the school nurse before EMS responded and transported the student to a hospital for further evaluation. The School Resource Officer is investigating.
