On November 4 at 1:37 p.m., officers responded to the 6000 block of New Forest Court in Waldorf for the report of suspects attempting to break into cars. When officers arrived, they observed a Hyundai Elantra which had been reported stolen. Officers attempted to stop the vehicle but the driver fled, striking an officer’s car. No one was injured. The suspects jumped out of the car and officers were able to apprehend a 17-year-old male. The suspect was arrested and charged as a juvenile with theft and traffic charges.
