On October 28 at 10:50 a.m., a school staff member at Thomas Stone High School located a student smoking in the bathroom and informed a school administrator. An administrative search was conducted and resulted in the location of a cannabis cigar and a small plastic bag with traces of cannabis. The cannabis was field tested. The result was positive. The student was charged on a Juvenile Civil Citation with possession of cannabis and released to a parent. The student will face disciplinary actions in accordance with the Charles County Public Schools Code of Conduct.
